Fantasy Roleplaying: An Omnibus of Opponents

My first product for Cortex Plus, a Fantasy Heroic bestiary, just went live on DTRPG! Check it out, if you're so inclined.

Exalted: Blood and Fire updated (again)! Also, other things!

We're now up to version 1.3 of Exalted: Blood and Fire! This version adds Attributes, changes the Specialty list a bit, clarifies some unclear points, and generally clears up some mistakes that kept slipping through editing. There's also a single-page character sheet and a three-page character sheet.

If you like Cortex Plus, you should stop by RPG.net and check out the huge Fantasy Heroic Roleplaying bestiary thread I've been running. There are well over seventy monsters, new and classic, for the game in that thread now, and I've officially approached Margaret Weis Productions about a license to produce supplements for FHRP. Wish me luck! If you feel like it, drop a line to Christi at MWP to let her know that you'd like to see more of this sort of thing. ;-)

Exalted: Blood and Fire Updated

My Cortex Plus Heroic hack for running Exalted has been updated! Now in version 1.2!

Exalted: Blood and Fire v1.2

Also, I'm currently working on an extensive bestiary for Cortex Plus Fantasy Heroic Roleplaying. This material might well eventually get cleaned up and officially published, so stop on by the thread and let me know if there's anything in particular that you want to see!

Almost Certainly Ninja

For those of you out there that like going to conventions, or just hearing about convention life, my buddy Ro has been keeping track of his wacky con adventures on his own blog for a while now. If you like conventions in any way, shape or form, you should go check out his blog at Almost Certainly Ninja!

His most recent expedition, to the Louisville Arcade Expo, just went live, so take a look. ^_^

Gaming Pet Peeve: The Hegemonic Fallacy

Some time back, I wrote about the Atlantean Fallacy, the idea that the progenitors of a setting are always the most advanced, powerful, and wise examples of their type, and that all civilizations since their fall have been a downward trajectory.

Today, I want to write about another fallacy in gaming, which I call the Hegemonic Fallacy.

Exalted: Blood and Fire v1.0

I just really like including "blood" in titles. What can I say? XD

Now that I'm back from vacation, I've got the last of the art in and finished up the document for release. I've added an example of play, the character sheet, and cleaned up some minor mistakes in the text. I'm tentatively calling this the Version 1.0 release of Exalted: Blood and Fire. If you find any mistakes or think of any additions to the text that would be useful, please make a note on the errata spreadsheet. Hope everyone enjoys!
